Geothermal Rising (GR) is pleased to announce this year’s Amateur Photo Contest. Applicants are asked to use their talent and creativity to showcase how people, communities, and businesses benefit from utilizing geothermal energy around the world and what it means to the end user. 

Awards will be presented at the Geothermal Rising Conference (GRC).

Entry Guidelines:

• High resolution photographs on any subject related to the end uses/users of geothermal energy production, EGS, direct use and geothermal heat pumps can be submitted. 
• Each photo submission MUST include 2-3 sentences that site the location of the photograph and explains how geothermal is being utilized. 
• The challenge is to tell the story of geothermal without showcasing the infrastructure (ex: plants, steam, turbines, etc.). Examples include people enjoying a beer processed with geothermal heat, people drinking tea on a plantation that co-produced geothermal electricity, produce grown in greenhouses utilizing geothermal.

The 1st place winner will receive $300, 2nd place will receive $100 and 3rd place will receive $50.  Winning photos will also be featured on the GR website.
